Prayer Meeting: 11:15 AM
Prayer is one of Matthews Orthodox Presbyterian Church's highest priorities. As a result, since modern urban life has made the traditional midweek prayer meeting very challenging, and since we have not been willing to give up the blessing of praying together, we decided a number of years ago to move the midweek prayer time to a slot on the Lord's Day when we were already gathered together.
We enjoy this time of prayer in several ways. We pray in response to the worship service just concluded. We bear one another's burdens through sharing prayer requests and needs, and by lifting them up together to the Lord. We also give prayer reports on local ministries and foreign missions, and we labor together in prayer in order to intercede on behalf of these kingdom endeavors.
Nursery is provided during the Prayer Meeting.
